We treat your personal data confidentially and in accordance with the legal data protection regulations and this data protection policy. In principle, it is possible to use our website without providing any of your data. However, as soon as you fill out the membership application or use the online donation form, the processing of personal data becomes necessary. The processing of your personal data, for example your name, address, e-mail address or telephone number, is only carried out for the purposes stated in this data protection declaration and always in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and in compliance with the applicable country-specific data protection regulations.

Your personal data will not be transferred to third parties for purposes other than those mentioned.
We only pass on your personal data to third parties if:

  • you have given your explicitly consent to this,
  • the processing is necessary for the fulfilment of a legal obligation,
  • the processing is necessary to protect legitimate interests and there is no reason to assume that you have an outweighed interest in preventing the processing of your data.

By means of this privacy policy, our association would like to inform members, supporters and the interested public about the type, scope and purpose of the personal data we collect, use and process. Furthermore, this privacy policy will inform you about your rights

  • Legal foundation of the processing
Art. 6 para. 1 lit. a GDPR provides the legal basis for processing of data for which we request consent for a specific processing purpose. If our association is subject to a legal obligation which makes it necessary to process personal data, for example to fulfil tax obligations, the processing is based on art. 6 para. 1 lit. c GDPR. In exceptional cases, the processing of personal data might be necessary to protect vital interests of the person subject or of another natural person. This would be the case, for example, if a visitor was injured at one of our events and his or her name, age and health insurance data or other vital information had to be passed to a doctor, hospital or other third party. In this case the processing would be based on art. 6 para. 1 lit. d GDPR. Lastly, processing operations could be based on art. 6 para. 1 lit. f GDPR. Processing operations not covered by any of the above legal bases are justified on this legal basis if the processing is necessary to safeguard a legitimate interest of our association or of a third party, provided that the interests, fundamental rights and freedoms of the data subject do not prevail. We are permitted to carry out such processing operations in particular as they have been specifically mentioned by the European legislation (recital 47 sentence 2 GDPR).
